Winners Announced for the 2008 HTC Hometown Heroes Awards
HTC is honoring individuals who make our community a better place to live and work.
HTC is excited to announce the winners of the 2008 Hometown Heroes Awards. Hometown Heroes is a community-based program HTC began in 2001 to honor individuals who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to community service. Award winners are selected based on their voluntary service and contributions to improving the quality of life in the communities HTC serves. From volunteering at schools, clubs, churches, youth organizations and elder care providers to civic service groups, local councils and community protection advocates, these individuals genuinely make a difference.
"We were very pleased with the overwhelming response received from citizens throughout our service area who nominated outstanding volunteers in the community. Although every nominee deserves recognition for their efforts, the winners selected have gone above and beyond the call of duty in serving their communities. Through their devotion of tireless hours of service, the Hometown Heroes Award winners have genuinely made a difference in the lives of others in need of assistance. We applaud these heroes who have touched so many lives and left a wonderful impression for so many in our community," said Lisa Beverly, HTC Marketing Coordinator.
