HTC Ready to Receive DTV Transition Calls
June 11, 2009
Thursday, June 11, 2009 – With the DTV Transition taking place tomorrow, HTC is ready to receive calls from customers who may have missed the digital transition deadline and want HTC Digital Cable instead of over the air transmission. When the off air analog broadcasts go dark tomorrow night and someone calls HTC on Saturday to try and get service activated quickly, HTC is prepared to specifically handle calls from customers ready to switch to cable.
“HTC has worked hard to educate our customers about this since early 2008. Some of our efforts have included monthly bill messages, web site notifications, special programming segments on our local access channel, commercials and staffing local help lines for one of our local broadcast stations,” said Tom Vitt, HTC Director of Marketing. “Just in case there are a few customers that have not made the switch, HTC customer service representatives will be available, as usual, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday. We take pride in our customer service levels and as always we will be ready to respond to customer needs as quickly as possible. If we have cable facilities close by, our teams will do their best to get folks connected.”
Those viewers within the reach of HTC Digital Cable who find themselves without television signal on Saturday morning can call HTC Digital Cable at 365-2154 and a customer service representative will be glad to assist.
