HTC Assists in Fire Recovery Efforts
April 24, 2009
On Friday, April 24, HTC teams were working hard to assist in the recovery efforts and to ensure telecommunication services were available in the areas affected by the Horry County Wildfire.
Jamon Carroll, HTC Plant Technician, walks beside the rubble from a home where he had just installed cable modem and digital cable services just days before the fire. According to Jamon, the family just moved into their home 4-5 days before this happened.
Splicing Crew Members, Josh Carter, Terry Holt, Kenny Wise, Scott Carroll, Brian Rhodes, Kimberly Elvis, Chris Cox and Ethell Vereen work to repair a 1,100 pair pedestal in Barefoot Resort following wildfires.
Terry Holt, Construction Worker, drives the mini-excavator.
Anthony Lewis, HTC Plant Technician, removes the cover from a pedestal in Barefoot Resort to review the damage.
HTC has special procedures in place for the Barefoot Resort fire victims. HTC customers who have lost their homes due to the wildfires can contact an HTC Customer Service Representative at 843-365-2154.
