Summary:
Introduces novice computer users to basic E-mail. Outlook Express Designed for HTC customers who are new to the Internet, Intro to Internet Explorer will help participants navigate the information super highway. Beginning with the basics participants will start and close Internet Explorer, enter web addresses, and use the Toolbar buttons. Particpants will learn how to set up their home page and recognize links. Finally, participants will review different search engines and conduct a web search.

Objectives:
Briefly explain Mouse operation, Task bars, Microsoft Window Icons and Desk Top Operations E-MAIL: Manage your mailbox (Outlook Express), Customize your mail account: Set up options, Folders, and Sub Folders. Moving, Deleting, Restoring mail.Using a PC and projector the instructor will briefly review desk top icons, task bar functions and mouse operations. Utilizing Fonts: Bold Italics, Underline, Colors. Sending, Tracking, and Flagging Mail. Setting Up and Managing Address Book. Following the instructor's lead, participants will set up their homepage, enter a web address, locate and use a link, use the navigation buttons and enter a web page into the Favorites menu. By the end of the class, participants will have a basic understanding of what a search site is and how to conduct a search. THE HTC TRAINERS WILL DO THEIR BEST TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. HOWEVER, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU TROUBLESHOOT COMPUTER, PRINTER OR SOFTWARE PROBLEMS.
